I will be drinking a gold and orange for Christmas. Trying to trade for the other waxed batches. Has anyone drank any waxed bomb lately? I have heard issues in the past and wondering if it's even worth trading for. What are the odds I'll get a rusty oxidized mess? Any feedback appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Justin

Bomb! is at it's best fresh because of all the added flavor adjuncts. All those flavors just fade over time and throws the beer way off imo. The oldest bottle I've had was only 18 months old and even that was noticeably inferior to the fresh bottles. I wouldn't trade for old Bomb!

I used to think the same about Abraxas....until I drank a 14 recently. It was delicious! Mainly an experiment. Not gonna give a ton up for them. Thanks for responding though.

I aged an orange wax bomb and really felt it dropped off a lot and developed some off flavors as it was rusty and oxidized.
