    Quick question

Has anyone ever seen a dual wax surly Darkness 2010? I recently received a bottle with gold wax on top and the darker normal wax on the shaft of the bottle (hehe, shaft).

After googling and searching on BA, I could not come up with an results talking about or showing different colored waxes.

    Thanks for the help

I have owned a bottle of darkness that was waxed with 2 different colors before, but I can't remember the vintage. That one was drank long ago, this is the bottle from my vert, just the gold

They did this on some of the older vintages; I think a few of my '10s have the double wax.

'10 Darkness had 3 different color waxes. Gold, black, and red. If you got 2 different colors on the same bottle, someone doing the dipping was just having a little bit of fun.

For Surly, the wax color doesn't make a big difference. You know the year of the bottle by the label art work. They had different artwork for each year of the release.

If you had silver wax it could have been left over from Smoke dipping.

    Cheers!

There are a lot of different colored waxes for Darkness vintages between 08-10, the most in '10 (That I've noticed). Some single dipped or double dipped. They have volunteers come in and dip so there really is no consistency. I think only the '07 vintage was a consistent red base wax and black top wax.
