WaZoo - anyone been before?

It is a fun event. It seems to always rain so be prepared. The line to get in has been ridiculous the last three years so come early or later. Some really good beers and no real lines. The big problem is that the last three years they have way over sold the event leading to massive crowds. We decided to stop going due to this. Fun event though! Definitely recommend a DD or get a taxi to a local hotel.

 

Yes. It's swelteringly hot. Layer on top of that the fact that it's outdoors in Tampa in August. Now scoop on a pile of good old fashioned zoo animal body heat along with another 2000 patrons and that should about tell you what to expect. Hit it early and go towards the back right section. Some different craft beers (like Swamphead and others) should be available for the first couple of hours.

I believe whole foods market will be in the VIP area passing out food.

 

Check out homebrewers WTF. Water to fire. They are friends that know how to brew an awesome beer. I have tickets and I'm trying to talk the wife into going. I may just end up going later in the day. I keep hearing about how it is a hot shit smelling drunken frat boy mess but I have never been.

 

I went last year and yep, what you said sums it up. The beers selection is great and you can leave pretty hammered if not careful.

The park had a power outage on one side and it was dark. It was almost like Halloween Horror Nights lol
