We drive to Hill Farmstead, alchemist and so forth, 350 miles once or twice a year.

Was part of a bigger trip but I did recently travel 3650 miles to go to Cantillon!

About three times a year I like to drive seventy miles south to Junkyard Brewery in Moorhead, Mn. Small brewery, but some of the best beer around.

Drove 2 1/2 hours (not only for beer) seriously hoping the beer warehouse I visited would have Elliot Ness as one of its hundreds of choices. Sadly, the clerk had never heard of it, and it could not be ordered through their database.Michael Jackson ( the beer connoisseur, not the musician) recommended it as the ultimate pizza beer in an article. I have yet to try it.

That's impressive on it's face. I'm trying to figure out how to explain the weekend trip will involve a passport.

An hour and a half to Richmond, usually to hit the Veil. Works out though as I can hit Triple Crossing, The Answer, and Hardywood while I'm in the area.

For a specific beer: I flew to Decorah, Iowa from Buffalo, NY for the most recent Assassin/KBBS release.
For beer in general: recently did a West Coast trip specifically for the beer scene.

Not sure if this counts, but I live in Germany and while Belgium is our neighbor, Brussels is about an 8 hour drive from where I live. I try and make the trip out to Cantillon/3F every 6 months or so even if for just a day or two. Worth every penny in gas and minute spent driving.

Can I ask what "33" beer is?

Drove from Louisville, KY to Lexington, KY before, about 70 miles. I'd like to tell myself I wouldn't go further, but I probably just haven't had the right opportunity yet.

I will take a road trip and make day out of it, so for me I try and get a whole adventure in, get my beer, check out local places, eat some food, etc. If hiking or outside stuff to do that also, so for me its like a mini day trip no so much just get beer and home. Makes is fun and also helps with the wife since it gives her stuff to do outside my hobby,

33 Export | VBL Tien Giang Limited (Fosters)*

    * Since Fosters was purchased by SABMiller and then SABMiller was purchased by ABInBev, many brands and breweries were sold off after that deal, unclear who owns the brand these days.

Three hours to three floyds for zombie dust a couple times a year. Would always stop at greenbush on the way and then hit up tapestry and bridgeman meats for the bacon burger on the way back.

Technically speaking-5.5 hours from Medford to Santa Rosa for Russian River.

In reality: 45 minutes. I was going to Napa for the weekend anyways and decided to just overshoot and drive to RR first and then go back and spend the rest of the weekend in Napa. Also went 45 min from Minneapolis to Casanova liquor to grab the King Sue that dropped before darkness day last year (originally from Minneapolis area and I happened to be there for something else-didn't plan to be there for the release).

I've never driven "clear out of my way" (which implies taking a major detour while going somewhere else) for beer, and have only gone as far as 25 miles or so on dedicated beer runs. On the other hand I have, as a pedestrian, extended my usual 1-3 block walk to get lunch (I work in NYC) to shop for beer, and have also strayed several blocks on my evening walk to the train station for my commute home.

That's life in the big city . I'll do 20 minute side trips (walking) for beer or food all the time. Both simultaneously is preferred, though :sunglasses:.

    Only an hour an half.

Drove up to Meadville this summer when voodoo announced they were opening their new facility. I went in hope of some barrel room release bottles but lucked out. I did get to try mbp on draft though so wasn't upset with myself for the trip.

I do this too, although it's about 90 minutes to State Line Liquors for me. The phrase "like a kid in a candy shop" definitely applies to beer shopping here! It's my favorite beer store, by far.

I drive down to Richmond once every couple months when the stars align and the veil/answer/hardywood/triple crossing are releasing stuff on the same day. Coming from Baltimore that's quite a drive but I usually load up and have enough for the next month plus some to give to friends
