What would price point would make you NOT pull the trigger on a bottle or 2? $30, $40 maybe $50+? How hard will you look to get a bottle? Feel free to talk about all that is Weasel Rodeo.

If its really that good of a bottle, I dont mind spending $30. I'll spend more than that on a good bottle of wine, so why not for a great beer?

If it is like most Mikkeller products it will be overpriced and not that good. I have not had it so I can't say, but there is a long track record for overpriced Mikkeller colabs/products. Though there is also a long record for me, buying the over priced, over rated Mikkeller products:slight_smile::flushed:, so they must be doing something right...

That's my point. JK is still a new to the scene brewery. And they are choosing to use the most expensive coffee beans on earth. Should they of started with a lesser expensive, but still good quality, coffee bean instead of jumping into the high end first? And taste is subjective. What I like you may not like. You might by a $30+ bottle of wine but you already know the history and track record of the winery.

I usually avoid Mikeller because there is better and cheaper out there. I hope they ponied up some cash to help with this crazy weasel shit coffee.

Ron from JK just posted about $14-18 a bottle. That's not an absurd price. Now the question is how much will BA BGR + kopi luwak cost?

I can tell you that kopi luwak is some damn good coffee, but I did also say that most of the JK line-up tastes the same. Good beers, but just same yeast profile leading to very similar taste...

Never had KW but would try for sure. I hope this beer isn't outta my range. If it gets close to the price range of Laphroig then I'll have the scotch.

I didn't love Beer Geek Rodeo, so I'm not sure I could have paid more than about $20 for Weasel Rodeo. Fortunately it doesn't look like it will go that high.

I think $14-$18 is a fair price but $20 would be my limit.

I give beer geek rodeo very good to excellent rating, color awesome, smell chocolate and peppers, taste 2 chocolates and 1 pepper, mouthfeel perfect for a stout, and no alcohol burn. Whats not to like.

Not a coffee drinker but I loved Beer Geek. Not the standard cup of joe. It was just so complex a taste..I might go 10 years and still have to play catch up with my taste buds.

For me I'd pay whatever for 1...20-40 (Meeker Cab is $40) but its almost a question of what I would pay for that second bottle. 20+ and I'll stick with one...even if I love the stuff.

What I'd really like to see though is la petite and black metal for 4.99. Paint me greedy

I place my limit at $20 because I like to get two bottles. However, I'm in total agreement with La Petite and Black Metal at around $4.99-$5.99. Hopefully with in time these may happen.

I hate, literally, coffee but yet coffee beers are one of my favorite brews. Mikkellers Beer Geek Weasel is one of my favorite brews.

Id go 20 to 25 for sure.

With the quality of ingredients used, we are never going to see $5 750ml bottles of JK. I'd pay $20 for a bottle of weasel easily. Since I am local and will surely see it around on tap, I wouldn't go to too much lengths for bottles, but if a regular trader wanted it, I would make sure to get it, whatever that may take within reason.

I had a dream once that a beer was going to live up to the hype. It rarely does. Damn those people for making me think there was something magical going on. The Rodeo, it was very enjoyable, enough that I will make sure to try some Weasel.

With respect to beers like LPP, Noble King, and some of their other low-gravity non-barreled offerings, I don't think this price point is that unattainable. Even the most organic of all organic malts still isn't costing a commercial brewery like this more than 50-75c per pound, and I suspect it is even lower than that.

LPP in particular is -- or should be, I'm sure someone from JK can explain why I'm wrong... if I'm wrong -- an incredibly cheap beer to make. Sure, it's good, but JK is distributing LPP at a cost that has retailers charging TWENTY-ONE DOLLARS per 6-pack equivalent. It's just too much money for too little beer.
