Saw this article today. Several San Antonio breweries have closed recently, but this is definitely the highest profile one.

I had no idea they'd expanded 1. to distro outside of Texas 2. that they'd opened a second taproom in North Carolina.

Sounds like they just grew too quickly? But I'm not at all familiar with the San Antonio beer scene.

Yeah always sad to see one go, they blew up starting the Black is Beautiful initiative, and even had a small distro deal with Walmart for a hot minute.

I used to see the Pilsner and WCIPA at Trader Joes. And the Black is Beautiful at TW...which is probably still sitting on the shelf. Something like $16 or a 2 pack of ~8% stout? That's not going to move in today's market.

That’s too bad, since they seemed one of the ‘better’ San Antonio-area breweries I visited these past few year. While their location was far from where I used to live and stay (inside 410), it was in an area of expansion and growth, and they had incredible name recognition. Business lifecycles are all unique.
