    Hi all,
I'm a former Seattleite, living in Minneapolis now. My sister is getting married in August in Seattle (Phinney Ridge) and is letting me pick out 2 kegs of beer. I'm thinking a lighter ABV Pale Ale and a Kolsch or Pilsner. Any thoughts on what is local, good, and available through a distributor now? Of course I have to let them know by tomorrow.
    thanks!

Nice, we used to live in Georgetown. I had Manny's last time I was there and it was good.

Get something from Chuckanut if you can

Naw. Just go with Fremont. Very local and as good as it gets. Matt will pick out a couple for you and it will be head and shoulders above your average wedding beer.

Get a keg of Summer Ale and maybe the Wandering Wheat or Interurban IPA? Depends on the preferences of the guests.

I totally second the Chuckanut suggestion. They make excellent versions of both Pilsener and Kolsch. The Kolsch is my favorite beer they make. Matter of fact I'm heading down to the brewery here in a bit!

So are you recommending a trip up to Bellingham to pick up kegs when Fremont and other excellent breweries are so handy given the wedding is in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood?

Nope. I suggest giving Uber a call 10-14 days ahead, and having them order it. Uber is a regular account of C-Nut. I was at the brewery earlier todau (Hell yeah! 2 pints of fresh Kolsch!) and asked where for OP to get it. Just hadn't posted it yet. They have accounts all over Seattle, so it should be easy for anybody to get a keg.
