The ceremony starts at 5:30 and the reception at 6:30. It is a full open bar but the beer selection is Stella Artois, Magic Hat #9 and Bud Light. I did not pick those beers. But I am going to drink a Westy 12 with the wife (BIG thanks to Digita7693!) and have a cooler full of beer for myself and the wedding party. What should I crack open first?

Thank you for helping me select a beer. No wrong choices for sure! Cheers.

Congrats! I'd go with Hunaphu because I would avoid anything with the word "black" in it on my wedding as it is a lively affair and because I've never Terrapin.

    Hunahpu all the way.
Followed by Black Tuesday. Followed by Terrapin.

You can skip the Black Ops

I've never had the Hunahpu yet, but that would be my choice.. followed by the Terrapin 10th Anniversary..

Who picked your other beers? Do they hate you?

I voted for the Rum Hunahpu, but couldn't you have substituted one of the three beers you mentioned? I wouldn't want to be the guy not in the wedding party who enjoys tasty beers

I usually pay attention to the order I drink my beers in. For your situation, you may want to reach for the Terrapin first (assuming you're having more than one, as implied by your first post.)

Now if you're only drinking one, go for the Hunaphu.

Unless the reception has a pig roast, I think I would serve something you would drink out of a flute or wine glass.
Maybe a saison. Just my opinion.

The hotels picked the 3 beers. I am not allowed to bring my own kegs for them. Trust me I tried!!!!

Before I clicked the thread I was thinking that a Bruery beer would be appropriate for a wedding. So I had to vote for Black Tuesday.

I could go for either the Rum Bal-aged Hunahpu or the Black Tuesday (voted for the BT) but the final decider for me would be what vintage Black Tuesday? Had a 2010 about a month ago and I was impressed.

Get married on a Tuesday and drink the BT....it would be, like, ironic.

If this is a reference to Sheryl Crow's gross misuse of the word "ironic," it is funny. If not, that's not irony.
