I'll be visiting Vancouver for a few days from August 15 -17. I wanted to hit a few brewpubs/brewery taprooms. Looking for suggestions as to the best ones or ones that might have something special on tap at that time.

    Cheers,

    Tom

St. Augustine's near Commercial-Broadway skytrain station has 60 beers on tap, mostly local. They have their up-to-the-minute tap list online at http://www.beersaint.ca.

BierCraft farther up Commercial Drive put in additional taps earlier this year. They've been known for Belgian beers, but they added 40 more taps earlier this year for local craft beer. Beer list here: http://biercraft.com/commercial/beer-list/

Pretty much every brewery in Vancouver now has a tasting room where they sell beer by the glass and by the growler. Many have food trucks outside. There are a few neighbourhoods with clusters of breweries, making it easy to walk from one to the next. 33 Acres, Brassneck and Main Street are all within a few blocks of each other around Main and 7th. Strange Fellows, Off the Rail and Bomber are close together on and near Clark Drive. North of Hastings, there's Storm, Parallel 49, Doan's, Powell Street and Callister.

alibi room downtown is pretty much the goto place. id recommend that and checking out some of the brewery tasting rooms around town. Nothing special coming out around that time that i know of. probably be a bit too early for fresh hop season!

Excellent. Thanks for the input. Will definitely hit some of those taproom clusters.
