    At last I feel human, have just had the most awful 24 hours
    fever, delirium, monster headache, dizziness and naseau.

    The only problem when it comes to the weekend drinking thread
    all I have in is three bottles of San Miguel Fresca and a bottle of Lucky Buddha.

    No money which is a real pisser cos I leave less than 300 metres from a big Tesco with those
    Newcastle Founders and Summer Ales that need testing and SN Torpedo

    I might sit this one out.

    It was damn fine. The Westy 12 was on devasting form too. Best I can recall. I'm always amazed by how Westy 12 can vary. That's not to say its inconsistent and prone to ropey bottles. All the same elements are always there but I'm always amazed at how differently they can be assembled from bottle to bottle.

    I just came back from a trip to Belgium/the Netherlands. While I was in Belgium I got chatting to the owner of a beer bar, and he told me that Westy changes significantly when it is aged for a while (by which I mean multiple years of cellaring).

    I think that's spot on. This particular bottle did show surpising integration and maturity since it came from 'a brick' and was supped from one of those dainty Westy glasses. My last Westy 12 was incredibly fresh but typically raw and hot.
