Greene King IPA cans... don't judge they were reduced to £3.50 for 4!

I wouldn't sweat it, someone came round last night with a four pack of San Miguel Fresca
He only drank half of one (why he bloody opened it when he had a glass of meantime IPA I will never know)

At least the bus shelter advert that is visible from this very desk has been changed from this excuse for a beer to a H&M lingerie advert.

Carling Zest. That 2.8% ABV and all that cirus. Must be a killer.

I've just polished off an Odell Red and am within reaching distance of the Magic 8 Ball.

Bit of tit for tat then.

Funnily enough I've left the San Miguel in the fridge for lager loving visitors.

Trying the St. George's glory, best Bateman's bottle I've had for a while.

Even my mates who can only drink lager think that San Miguel is rubbish haha.

If you end up convulsing while wearing an oversized mod suit then you're halfway there. Either that or finding yourself heading a wickedly tight fourpiece with a funky female bassist.

I've only ever seen Old Tom and we don't exactly have a great history.
    How was the Axe Edge?

On second thoughts (i.e. after 4 cans) greene king ipa isnt that bad.

Axe Edge is absolutely fucking stunning - just wonderful. Between this, SPA, High Tor and (most importantly) Imperial Black, Buxton are fast becoming my favourite British brewery.
My only issue with Axe Edge is that it's labelled as a DIPA when, at 6.8%, it's really a single IPA. Still hugely impressive, mind.

Imperial Black on cask is my favourite beer in the world (at the moment).

It's stunning stuff. When I found out about a country pub that had put it on, four buses and a two-hour round trip was well worth the effort for a pint or five of it.

Having been a Landlord drinker for 40+ years I'm rather disappointed by it nowadays, the last pint I had, a couple of days ago, had a touch of diacetyl and the hops were no longer floral and crisp.
