So this past weekend I saw a couple of Three Floyds bottles at a shop in Brooklyn. One was a Christmas Porter for the bargain price of $27. Anyone know what's up with their distribution in NY? Also, a local cornershop is selling 4 packs of Old Curmudgeon at $9.99 but Burton Baton at $19.99. Erm?

    That's all.

Nonexistent. FFF does not distribute to NY.

Curmudgeon and Burton Baton are different beers. 9.99 for the four pack is the going price for Curmudgeon

$20 for Burton seems pretty high, it's ~$14 around here.

eagle provisions in Brooklyn was tweeting that they had three floyds. Didn't make it there but I don't know why they'd lie.

They would lie if they were smart. It's not a good idea to advertise that you're selling a beer which is not legally distributed in the area.

If it was three floyd's porter your getting ripped off. Alpha Klaus was only 12$ where I'm at in Illinois. Also I didn't think they distributed it up there. Maybe one of the people from the store went to the brew pub at some point and bought a case? I've seen the barrel aged versions on the shelf at one of my local spots for the slightly exaggerated price of 100$.

Whichever shop is selling the Alpha Klaus really aren't presenting themselves well...selling non-distributed items commercially and way overcharging. Looks like they want to take advantage of the desperate in NY.

My question is who's really going to police the sale of undistributed products. Only person I would for see even being knowledgable of this would more than likely be a rep for a local distributor & the ones I've met are most defintely not assholes that are going to turn

But on a side note, definetly not worth any fines or potential revokation of any liscenses.

You'd be surprised....the NYLC would be happy to investigate, I'm sure.

Yep, that was the place. I don't follow them on twitter so I was unaware they'd announced it publicly. Weird.

Finally - well aware that Old Curmudgeon and Burton Baton are different beers. Happen to like both and was, simply, surprised at the extreme difference in their price. 4 pack of OC at $10 seems OK to me. 4 of BB at $20 seems... too much.

wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes, they had Alpha King, Gumballhead 6-packs and Brian Boru 22's, he ran out of theother stuff they tweeted on Friday...there was probably someone associated with the store at DL Day and brought back a haul for the store.
