I checked it out briefly last night. I had the Imperial Coffee Stout and my wife the Shield Street NEIPA. My overall impression of the two beers was the same - pretty good flavor, hitting the notes that one would expect from such styles, but both were a little on the thin side. They were also a tad expensive. I’m used to paying $5-7 for my pours at Fox Farm, Alvarium, and other nearby breweries, but the beers were $9 and $7.50 each. The acoustics in the tap/coffee room could use some work. It wasn’t overly crowded last night, but yet it was a tad difficult to carry on a quiet conversation with someone right next to me. My brief interactions with the staff were very friendly. I’ll definitely go back, but maybe on a quieter afternoon. I’m happy to have a second brewery in my hometown and hope that they succeed.
