Yeah yeah. I live here. Has denver EVER had Weihenstephaner festbier on the shelves? Has anyone seen it this year? Ive never come across it in the 15 years I've looked.

Yeah, I get a sixer or two every year. I just checked the inventory at the Total Wines on Evans and they have it in stock, so it’s probably around town now.

I remember hunting for that one to no avail, too. Ditto with their surprisingly good Pils. I always assumed our distributor just didn't pick those up. Yet I randomly stumbled upon both at Havana Park a few years ago. They had some other limited Weihenstephaner bottles as well. I think we theoretically get their entire exported lineup, most stores just don't stock them for some reason.

Applejack in Wheat Ridge had them last week. I've never seen their Pils anywhere around town.

I saw Weihenstephaner Festbier last week at Bevy’s in Littleton when we were out there visiting our son and daughter-in-law.

Landed a 6er. It doesn't disappoint. Edges out ayinger by a hair this season.

Glad you found it! It’s always a toss up to me whether I’d rather have the Weinstephaner or the Ayinger. They’re both basically perfect beers. My local sports bar somehow has Ayinger Ofest on draft right now and it’s a treat. I’d love to find the Weinstephaner on draft someday.

I think the Weihenstephaner might actually be more widespread than normal this year. I've encountered it twice at stores that didn't used to carry it. Wish I liked it more. It's well made, but the pale Märzen/festbier style isn't really my thing. Plus, I've grown to really like those hybrid takes that showcase Munich malt but aren't almost brown and reeking of candy corn.
