I'm assuming this wouldn't work but...

Would it be possible to age this beer? Too low abv? Anyone have any experience aging this one? Or would it just get worse

I don't think it would work. But you'll never know until you try. Great criminally ignored beer BTW.

Dopplebocks do fine with a little time. I wouldn't go two years, but a year or so is fine.

Just had one with a little over a year on it, kept at fridge temp. The sweet bready notes have faded a lot compared to fresh bottles, it has some sherried oxidized flavors and the body has thinned out. Still a quality beer and probably more drinkable since everything is a bit mellower, but I definitely prefer the strong dark malt flavors of a fresh bottle. Probably fine to keep on hand for awhile, but I wouldn't be looking to improve it with age.
