A local micro brewery bottled a chocolate banana stout.

Well, maybe not terrible, but certainly not good. Should have had a warning label WARNING: CONTAINS BEET STUFF. Glad I only bought a sixer.

Twisted Pine has a carrot IPA and a cucumber cream ale. Definitely some of the New Belguim Lips of Faith beers get a bit out there like their coconut curry IPA. I feel like Stone's collaboration beers get a bit out there like their mint chocolate stout and coconut IPA. Perrenial has some odd beers like their Homefront IPA which is an ale brewed with oranges and aged on Louisville Slugger bats. I flock to these beers out of curiosity but in the end they tend to be more hype.

Kelpie Seaweed Ale. My wife actually said it was pretty good.

My local brewery (Funky Buddha) makes some interesting ones:

    No Crusts (PB&J) Brown Ale
    Sweet Potato Casserole
    Rice Krispies (Cream) Ale
Fire in the Hole (Rasberry Habanero)

Weird beers are usually nasty, awful things. I can only think of two that I'll drink, and I have to be in the mood for them as well-

Magic Hat #9 (tastes a bit like apricots)
Sam Adams White Christmas (tastes like nutmeg)

Try to get ahold of Night Shift's beers. They make some really interesting beers with some out there ingredients.

I think Gose as a style is quite weird compared to anything else. Low ABV and slightly salty.

With that said I love Lost Nation's Gose. Need to find some more breweries that distribute to MD that attempt this as its a style that could be my go-to if reasonably priced as well.

Dude, Ill probably take a 6 month old ipa. That might be my limit though. 8-12 months I think Ill pass.

Dude you misunderstood - it was a somewhat sarcastic response to the weird beer question seeing that many people on this site believe IPAs start to fade as soon as the bottle/can/keg leaves the brewery.
