Weird taproom pricing

Hard to say if growlers are fresher or not...even if we assume that the growler is filled in front of us from a keg that was put on tap today, it is quite possible that another part of that "batch" went into the cans or bottles that are available for purchase...at that point, I can't see how the growler would be fresher...of course, it could be, but on the other hand it could be an older keg with newer cans / bottles...I am, of course, assuming that the brewery cared for all the beer equally well...

 

I agree 101%. Where I work. We'll happily fill whatever you bring in. BUT. If you can't be bothered to take care of it. You are a time suck on our bar staff. You are that annoying customer who wastes our time on what is ON YOU to take care of. We could be dicks and use the garbage in garbage out ethos and pour it into your growler a squirrel took a shit in. But. We care about our product because that's what you are pouring into your glass.
If we have to put that growler through the wash, and heat it up at all. It's going to foam our beer and waste a lot of that product to get you that 64oz pour.
If we were to package our product. I'm pretty sure we'd do away with offering those beers in the growler format for several of these reasons. I'd much rather see the beer I make being offered to YOU in the best way possible, and that is not going to be in your filthy growler you haven't cleaned. I'd also much rather see the beer I produce in a container with our logo on it.

 

Dude, 10.99, or 11.99 for a six pack is so cheap for being at a brewery it is not funny. Growlers are always overpriced. Always, always, always man. I would have just taken that six pack and enjoy it. Oh, I just saw the most poorly written sentence I have ever seen in your post. Can't you edit it, or something?
