Drank a CMA and a CBS last week, and the Achromatic blew the CBS away, I know the Achromatic was fresher but I almost couldn't even taste the maple in the CBS compared to CMA. First time having CBS too, was mostly disappointed. Anyway, picked up another CMA today as well, great beer.

Looking back, should have had CBS fresh, was listening to alot of advice to let it sit a few months. I will have to try it fresh next go around to get more of that coffee and maple hopefully.

Had the exact same experience (though, I think I had CBS slightly fresher). Maybe the CBS hype was too great, but I got nothing from it. Add to that the difference in price (some places are trying to rob ya blind with $30 bottles of CBS), and it’s a no brainer to grab all the CMA.

I feel like CBS is a product of a different era. As weird as it sounds now, it wasn't long ago when adjuncts were supposed to be background flavors and subtle. "I want my beer to taste like beer first" wasn't just a meme. CBS first came out in 2009, when that was very much the case.
Comparing that to new school adjunct stouts is like comparing Maharaja to Juice Box.
Depending on what you're looking for, there's a shot you're not going to like both of them.

Looking forward to the Invitational next month.
Assuming there should be some pretty good bottles shares.
Anyone have any info from last year that Double Tree was ok with a share?

Just now I've seen that there is a one session per person policy for Invitational fest. I was in a hurry when purchasing tickets and somehow managed to buy two sessions for myself. According to their website this shouldn't be technically possible. Not sure what to do now. Is there anyone with the same situation?

We did a share in the lobby until about 11 when they kicked us out...not sure if they’re going to have a policy on that this year after last year. Weren’t out of control... just loud lol

Request for the WW boys - please come out with Fluffernutter again soon. Don't change a damn thing. Soooo well done. And while you're at it, Fruity Bits Pina Colada. Cheers!

I’d definitely be curious on shelf life. It was one of the best non-BA Stouts I’ve had. I think that beer probably gets worse if you try to lay it down.

I am keeping mine refrigerated. Everyone who's tried it have loved it. Yeah, it's a little sweet. But that mouthfeel is incredible, and the nutty peanut butter.... damn.

Yeah mines has been in our wine fridge since she bought it... haven’t intended to age it, but I just don’t crave sweet beer very often

Anyone remember what was available to-go around WeldWerks Invitational last year? Sounds like they’re intimating a pile of releases next week.

Need to ready my FT stash because I’m assuming they’ll have some badass hops, stouts...everything, really.

It’ll be random but definitely lots of hops and I’d imagine some stout and Berliner cans

Just scrolled through a year of posts - looks like nine releases last year including three achromatics, brownie batter stout, milkshake ipa, berliner, and hops.

Is bottle share allowed while waiting in line?

I think they put the kibosh on that type of shenanigans a while back. I don’t remember the specifics, but I remember it was discussed before the last Invitational in the previous Weldwerks thread.

They didn’t run out of anything on Friday last year if I recall correctly. Reduced the Achromatic bottle allotments on Saturday. Well run as usual.

There will be enough that crazy lines aren’t necessary for cans. Based on posts on social media there won’t be BA stouts and that’s the only thing that risks selling out day of
