50% of the time I’d say bottles or draft. More so in the winter

I just saw some news about another noche release at Weldwerks. Prices seem pretty steep at $36-$40 a bottle. I’ve only lived in Denver for a year and lived in Chicago for three years prior and these prices seem ridiculous. Any thoughts on the pricing?

Beer is expensive these days - WW isn’t alone.

Agreed. This release seemed like a big price increase from the typical $26 to $32 from the prior releases this year and last year. I wasn't sure if the double barrel adds a lot of cost or if this is the new norm with the Weldwerks Noche beers.

Breakfast for Three reminds me of Double Stack for what it's worth. If you're fiending for that one, I'd highly recommend grabbing a can or two, even if they are expensive.
Makes me wish they had a clone of Blueberry Muffin to pair with it.

I miss those Revolution Deep Wood Series 4 packs. Canned goodness at a reasonable price!

(Some of the) factors resulting in BA beers having a higher production cost:
    - longer production time due to aging
    - cost of the barrels themselves
    - cost of the space to house the barrels
    - reduced yield due to angel’s share
    - reduced yield due to some barrels going bad

Each of these are increased (if not x2) by a double barrel aging process. If demand is high but production is limited by physical/other constraints, the price is only going to go in one direction...

We price all of our beers, including Medianoche, according to our costs, including ingredients, labor, and time. These two releases were especially costly to produce given the extended aging (24 and 30 months), the cost of the additional barrels (Maple Bourbon and Apple Brandy have been the priciest barrels we have purchased so far), and for DBSD, the cost of vanilla.

We certainly understand these particular releases don't appeal to everyone. Fortunately, we'll have other releases at a more approachable price point in the very near future (10/2 should be on your calendar). Those just won't be aged in barrels for half as long as we've been open.

I said something negative about a Weldwerks IPAs in some thread somewhere.

Juicy Bits has lately been top shelf Haze.

Perfect, when I'm after that type of beer.

I appreciate the response. In the limited time I’ve lived in Colorado your beers have always been top notch and creative. Thanks for the feedback. Also, I’ll be at the release!

It's probably my favorite hazy in the region. The surprisingly common Epic Hazy cans are great, but I feel that normal 'ol Juicy Bits is still the king of the hill. I can't handle the stronger DDH variants, though. In fact, I can't do strong hazy IPAs from anyone.

Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it! And thanks for the feedback on price as well. We very much appreciate honest feedback to help us better understand what our customers want (and what they don’t want).

Strong *hoppy anything doesn’t typically work for me.. very difficult for me to find a d/tipa that even enjoyable.

Just had first can of Juicy Bits I picked on on recent trip to CO. Great mouthfeel. Taste a little bland. Wish the hops weren't so subdued and would pop more. If i wanted to drink something bland I'd drink a pilsener!

Juicy Bits managed to make it into the top 10 of the Zymurgy top beer poll. That's an old school bunch and Juicy Bits is a beer that doesn't even have that big of a footprint in CO. That's pretty baller IMO. W.W. is on the national radar for Nachos, but don't sleep on the Bits.

Or maybe I need to DDH version. FWW, my wife had the same exact reaction (I'm actually quoting her in my wording.)

Have some colleagues coming in from Boston Sep 11-13 and they’re bringing hops. I plan on returning fire with a truth bomb from WeldWerks.

With FitBits, Science Juice and Coff/Coco dropping, and looks like XX Citra and Juicy Bits still avail, thought now might be the time for best variety and freshness to float an ISO/FT.

Just wanted to check in with the locals and make sure y’all haven’t heard of a bigger drop coming around Labor Day. Thanks in advance and cheers!

I'm not sure if anyone will read this, but I would love for WW to release just regular Medianoche- possibly in 19.2 oz cans at a reasonable price. I wouldn't mind a variant like mudslide being released as well, but regular 'nachos seems to be such a great tasting beer and also priced a little bit more friendly than the exotic versions. Something similar to 18mo.

Super excited for weldwerks COS location to open up. I am already thinking I may take half or the whole day off from work if necessary so I can be one of the first people in line.

WW has become, in the last year, my CO fave. Right up there with Cerebral as a close 2nd.
Not sure who else competes across the taste-rainbow spectrum, but since I only frequent this forum once in a while.... I'm listenin' and readin'.
(Did visit Outer Range - really good stuff, but not as good as WW at least on the range of stuff)
