I'm looking for a hops hook up if anyone is headed to WW today/this weekend! Also very curious how this lime/coconut will come out - sounds good!

Last week my bro got me a weld werks expresso stout. I believe it's a 10 abv and it said to drink fresh. Odd, but ok and it was excellent. Heavy on the expresso for sure.

The other can had a very long name, can't remember, and I could taste marshmallows in it. Again , odd, but good.

Think Neil is on record saying this would never happen since Medianoche is formulated specifically to be barrel aged.

Maybe you aren't understanding me. Medianoche is bourbon barrel aged by default, which is why I said "something similar to 18mo" which is one of the batches of medianoche they released about a year ago that was aged in bourbon barrels for 18 months.

Weldwerks makes a fair amount of coffee beers, but I've never seen one with espresso. Which one? Coffee Maple Achromatic? Breakfast for Three?

I think @spersichilli is saying that Achromatic is designed to be that vehicle for non-BA stouts. So, Medianoche wouldn’t be the beer you’re looking for, it’s stovepipes of Achro you’re asking for? By default, Medianoche will always be BA.

No. Read again what I wrote. I want something "similar to 18 mo" which is aged in bourbon barrels for 18 months. Medianoche is always barrel aged. "regular" medianoche is aged in bourbon barrels.

I've been drinking Medianoche since batch 1. I've tried every variant in bottles and almost every draft version. I've been in the barrel room several times. I've attended every medianoche release at Weldwerks. My Untappd lists over 200 unique Weldwerks beers that I've tried. I'm familiar with the product.

So you want them to remake Medianoche 18 month or a plain Medianoche. But shave off 3 oz. and make it cheaper. And put it in cans.

If they were to do more regular ‘Noche, and make it cheaper and put it in cans I’m guessing they would age it for far less time? Put it in 16 oz cans? They’ve done 17 and 18 mo Medianoche - anything with less time than that which you recall? If Medianoche is built to age, what’s the cutoff? 12 mos? 9, 15, 17? I guess that’s why I thought an Achromatic would make sense. Chopping three ounces and not significantly changing time in barrel with a new package yields no price change.

I’m for more regular Medianoche! Don’t know how quickly you can turn the liquid, though.

It may not reduce the cost per oz, but it would certainly reduce the per unit cost while simultaneously increasing the total number of units, allowing more people to get them or at the very least increasing allocations. All of those things are a win in my book. Not to mention, a smaller format makes it more manageable if you wanna solodolo. I would love to see Medianoche in cans, and I'd love to see more un-adjuncted Noche in conjunction with that.

Isn't Noche an overnight boil? Seems like it would be pretty rough on employees to keep up with demand.

They're a joke as far as distribution. Laughable would be too generous.

I wouldn’t sweat that one too much. Looks like they signed up for an account just to grind a particularly strange axe.

I mean, they put “native” AND made sure to stress they are a beer buyer in the same username, so... that is a special kind of beer angst, methinks.

I’d like to come at this distribution “issue” from a slightly different approach. @Tarheel4985 how many liquor stores receive semi-regular drops of your beer in Fort Collins, Loveland and Boulder. As much as I like to venture up to WeldWerks, a more local option would be more ideal and ultimately introduce your beer to a wider audience. Thank you for your time and please continue to produce innovative and tasty beer. :sunglasses:

We actually distribute over 60% of the volume we produce to nearly 300 accounts within our footprint along the Front Range. Here's a link to find out which locations carry our beers:
