Not really a tease since it was straight up posted on IG...

"This year's Anniversary Sixer beers include:

    -Peanut Butter Achromatic (six-pack exclusive)
-Coconut Achromatic (six-pack exclusive + debut release)
-Extra Extra EXTRA Juicy Bits (six-pack exclusive + debut release)
    -Advanced Fluid Dynamics
    -Blueberry Cobbler Berliner
    -Froot Camp: Strawberry Banana

These WeldWerks Sixth Anniversary Six-Packs will be available both from the taproom AND through our retail partners across the state"

I don't love the release format as any kind of bundle feels like a way to peddle lesser beers along with more desirable ones (see Side Project's model), but at least this lineup doesn't actually have any clunkers that I won't drink. I would rather make a larger total purchase with four-packs of the beers I want the most, but I'll def be grabbing one of the six-packs if I see them.

This 10 golden tickets thing at WeldWerks...so damn cool. Willy Wonka was a memorable movie in my youth, and I’d be an idiot buying out those six packs if I was in the Denver metro. And to have the opportunity for guaranteed releases...wowza.

Only the 6 packs sold from the taproom will have the golden tickets, not the distroed ones.

That is such an awesome idea, good luck to the winners!

Yeah, I read that. I’d make the drive to Greeley from anywhere in the metro if I lived there. I make that drive every business trip to Denver. Special treat.

I bought 5 of the 6-packs, none had a golden ticket. Alas, it was not meant to be.

Has there been any talk about the next Festival? Not sure if they are going to try to do it this year or just wait until 2022.

Yes!!! Looks like it's back on the table for 10/30. According to their social media posts anyone who bought a ticket for 2020 will have first dibs. However, that will be first come first serve as they will have 20% less tickets available.

I'm really curious how ticket purchases are going to work with that information in mind... If all previous ticket holders want to attend this year, not only will 20% of them miss out, but the general public won't even have a shot. Unless, of course, Weldwerks sets some tickets aside for the masses and only offers a % to previous ticket holders. Either way, there are probably going to be some salty folks..

Makes sense for it to be able to sell all tickets to the general public that purchased 2020 tickets.... those people were GP last year and are again this year

If folks are salty about not being able to attend, then they’re just not being reasonable. I think offering last year’s planned attendees (not me) dibs makes sense and how can you fault an entity of any kind for taking extra COVID precautions? Does the majority of the general public want a slightly less attended event or no event at all? Social media posts have forewarned plans, so notice has been given, process is transparent and safety is in mind. Bullseye.

I don't disagree in the least, though full disclosure here: I bought tickets last year so I'll be in the pool for first dibs. I am sure there are folks though who couldn't attend last year, missed out on tickets, are new fans to the scene, etc, who will end up a little salty. You can't please everyone though.

From this POV sure, but given the past 14 months WW is coming through with the best solution.

The 1pp limit (as stated by WW on IG) is a bit of gut though. I purchased two tickets last year as I am sure many couples or friends did, but now we can only purchase 1, leaving that other person high and dry.

Yeah, it’s a little less exciting to solo a beer festival I’d imagine

I'd imagine it's impossible to plan this.
Yes by then we will have lots of vaccine coverage, but the strain may mutate and there's no telling what will happen later.

Better to sell additional tickets than to have to "snatch back" tickets from people who were planning to attend if things get worse.

So it's seeming like no Medianoche release this month?
