sorry this is a bit OT

As a former phish show attendee, I have noticed startling similarities between the craft beer scene and phish shows/drug culture: obsession with getting the best (herb or beer), then hoarding the best, camping out/partying in lines while waiting to get into a show/beer release, obsession with collecting glass (ones you drink from and smoke from), obviously the whole altering your reality/intoxication thing, the some people aren't into the scene they're just here to collect drugs/bottles, people buying things at the show/stores and then reselling them for exorbitant amounts of money, the obsession with pretzels, dbags like playaplaya referring to their beer salesman as "their guy" like he's got some colombian gangster connection, etc. etc.

I could write a paper on this no problem. I find it fairly interesting, and also a phish show was the first place I had a true "craft beer," at least one would consider new belgium stuff "craft" at that time.
