Wernesgrüner is owned by Bitburger and I know Bitburger makes is clear that their beers are brewed according to the reinheitsgebot. Oddly, although the reinheitsgebot is referenced on both the Bitburger and Kostritzer pages, it is not referenced directly on the König Pilsener, Wernesgrüner and Licher pages ... Do with that what you will. @PNpilgrim Ive had good luck with Wernesgrüner responding to questions in the past - the best way to be sure is to email them directly.
Yup. Just like so many things now days. What you think is a simple question takes you down a rabbit hole. I am just looking for a cheap beer that is not one half Corn Syrup & one quarter preservatives. Thank you all for your responses. I will try the direct contact route.
I would not worry about corn syrup and preservatives with this beer. Its a very well done German Pils. Enjoy!
