    Hey everyone --

I'm from Michigan, and I have a friend coming in from San Diego who offered to bring some beers with him. I've never had any of the RR beers before, so I'm asking him to bring any that he can find. Does anyone have any suggestions? I love sours, stouts, and IPAs.

Pliny and Blind Pig from RR. Both should be readily available for him.

Are their sours available off the shelf?

I don't live anywhere near San Diego but I would think that Supplication, Temptation and Consecration would be around.

They are readily available around me in the PNW

Spendy but oh so tatsy. Damn you sours...........

You might have better luck if you post this same question in the Pacific forum.

Of all the RR shuns ( or tions ) the least expensive, yet one of the best IMO is Redemption. And it is generally available at most places that sell RR.

Sours are easily becoming my new addiction. Can't wait to try the RRs

Good bottle shops should have most regular RR sours - Supplication, Consecration, and Temptation. Have him check the prime suspects in San Diego: Best Damn Beer Shop downtown, Olive Tree Market in Ocean Beach, Clems Bottle Shop in Kensington, etc

Will do -- he's not much of a craft beer drinker. Trying to convert him.

Just know that it's not a sour -tion.

San Diego-wise though, have him look for Alpine beers and, if you can't get them where you are, like I can't, tell him to grab you some Speedway Stout. For around $10 a 750ml, that is easily one of the best bang for your buck beers available.

Kern River beers are not be missed. If he can Citra or the 5th anny that's great, I personally loved Just Outstanding.
