Recently started drinking Harland beers. Nelson! Nelson! and Mosaic! Mosaic! were great. So today I went with Citra + Mosaic DDH WC IPA, and... I was a bit confused when it poured a murky blonde. And then I took a taste and it was pretty sweet. Not dry and bitter at all. I don’t know what went wrong here. It’s definitely not a West Coast IPA, but it’s still a good Hazy!

Grabbed a couple cans of this today after my stop at Green Cheek. Yes Bud. This is old school good. They were out of theMoksa All Together. But got the Green Cheek All Together can’s.

I saw a can of Simtra today for the nice price of $9.99. Never liked it. Anyone try it recently?

Knee Deep is finally canning? I feel like they are the only brewery less than twenty years old that is still predominantly putting their beers into bombers.

I think they’ve been canning for a few years actually. This was the first time I saw Simtra though, and it seems to be in a 19 ounce can or some sort. It’s a triple, so I don’t get that.

Knee Deep has been pretty rough to my palate lately. Some of the triple IPAs still taste alright except hard to find fresh. Rest of portfolio I hate to say it but is now a pass for me.

Simtra was always one of the better tipa’s. When fresh. We could never get anything Knee Deep fresh bottles/cans here. When Warren left to peruse his dreams Knee Deep started showing up a little bit fresher. But nobody was buying. So they just sat on the shelves. Lupulin River (Deep River) was delicious when they first did the collab with Kern River. When they canned it it was $18 or 19 for a six pack. :astonished: That’s when I had enough of KD and went with Revision.

Lupulin River is their best beer to me. Pliny Jr. for sure.

Does Pliny and KRB Citra not fit that for you? I think we may be saying the same thing in different ways...

El Segundo used to make an IPA that I thought tasted very similar to Pliny but I haven’t seen it around in ages. Two Five Left.

To be fair, I usually buy beer directly from breweries now so I don’t go to bottle shops nearly as often.

Even fresh Lupulin River? I know it appears with rarity, and as @dcgunman mentioned it can be on the pricier side, but I grabbed a 6er of 2 week-old cans for $16 a couple months back and it tasted delicious.

Last sour I bought was ASB Biggies Blueberry Brunch Bonanza; Two 4-packs actually. Not a sours type of guy, but this one is a winner and is consistent. Never miss the chance to buy it when released.

    Good stuff.

The boys at St. Archer knew their away around Mosaic hops so this shouldn't shock us that this all Mosaic Harland IPA is nothing short of brilliant. The aromatics and layers of flavors are wonderful.

    Cheers,

I saw last week Ghost Town & Altamont releases a collaboration called “Friends with social distances”. The reason I mention it is it’s labeled specifically a wcipa and I heard it was really good.
I plan to get some Wednesday and will report back.

I'm just loving everything I bought so far from North Park. Hop-Fu! and Party Cup in my book are summer time fridge staples if possible.Party Cup may be one of the best "new school" Lagers I've had,I mean I could crush a four pack before my first nine holes are done.

    Cheers,

Didn’t get Party Cup. Gone the day I was there. Instead they had Art Is Hard from North Park. Grab a can.

From everything I've had from both of.those breweries I'm guessing that will be a proper.brew.

Had an Alvarado Food ‘n Fresh last night. Was surprised when I poured it by it’s lack of clarity. Had a nice dank New Zealandy nose, drank clean with a dry and moderately bitter finish. The appearance was deceiving, but definitely drank more like a west coast (which was how they billed it) than a hazy.
