And I can’t wait to fly to Chicago for some more Half, Rev, Miker and Pipe......along with Hop B and a few others. You guys have some amazing offerings in the Windy City. And the food? Out of this world.

I've flown into Chicago and gone to Three Floyds but I've yet to visit city. It's high on my places to visit in the US.

My favorite beer / food suggestions in a tight area (0-2 miles) outside of Downtown/Lincoln Park are:

    Ravenswood:
    Beer:
    Half Acre, Spiteful Brewing, Dovetail
    Beer & Food: Hopleaf

    Avondale:
    Beer:
    Revolution Brewery, The Beer Temple
Beer & Food: D-Men, Kuma's Corner & Maplewood (Great beer, never had their food yet)
Food: La Villa Pizzeria (for BYOF Revolution and Beer Temple)

NW Side / Suburbs (more spread out than the above)
    Beer:
Mikerphone (Elk Grove Village) & Alarmist (Chicago)
Beer & Food: Une Annee / Hubbards Cave (Niles) & More Brewing (Villa Park)
Food: For BYOF Breweries - Dino's Pizzeria or Superdawg (Both Chicago)

Breweries with no taproom: Pipeworks, Hop Butcher, Phase Three

Hope all are still around into next year.

OK, let's not judge a book by it's cover. This is a west coast IPA, really. When I poured my first one last weekend I did the double take.....huh? then you drink it. Citra and Mosaic bomb, lots of complexity, dry crisp and totally crushable. Just fill my fridge with a few cases of this for warm weather quaffing and I'm a happy camper. I grabbed these at Bottlecraft LB, but I believe they are out of stock, this is definitely worth seeking out. Freekin great DDH WCIPA.

    Cheers,

Managed to get my hands on some crowlers of Thrillseeker and Street 3 before Beachwood's crowler machine took a shit. Crushed the Thrillseeker when I got home. Solid batch

Thanks. Adding a number of these to my list. I practically lived at The Map Room during my time at Siebel.

Kuma's Corner > Great tap list, good selection of bottles and cans, excellent burgers & if you like heavy metal this is the place. :heavymetal:

Had the Ghost Town/Altamont collab. “Friends with social distances”. Marketed as a wcipa. . Although crystal clear, tasted fruity like a neipa.
if you’re hardcore west coast you might not be impressed.

Have a question about Henhouse brewing. We've just started getting cans of their stuff up here in pdx, including 3 IPA's. Much to my surprise, they're all hazies. Is that mostly what they're making when it comes to IPA's? The comments about Henhouse have been pretty positive in this forum, and I thought I read some nice commentary about some of their WCIPA'S. Are they still making WCIPA's, or are they just focusing on hazies these days?

    Just curious.

I think I've only had hazy IPAs from them, but haven't been a fan of any. They apparently make good saisons.

Their year-round IPA is pretty classic, but otherwise most of their one off and rotating IPAs are hazy. Their Chemtrails (one of their rotating IPAs) is a bit of a hybrid.

Oh and Hollow Moon is one of my favorite hazies, if you happen to see that one.

Henhouse is a great brewery! Just had a mixed case land on my porch yesterday. One of those breweries that does a lot of styles very well. I’m a fan.

Unfortunately, that was my reaction as well. Will keep an eye open for their saisons. Thanks!

I've only had a handful of their hazies...good but nothing wow. The flagship IPA and the Stoked, single hop rotating series, are West Coast styling and much preferred for my palate and preferences.

Ya agreed with @jakecattleco, the wcipas they do make are tops in my book. I also love their oyster stout and have had one good season experience

Smashing a Chapman Crafted Kool Kid Hops right now for no good reason. I mean, the damn thing was $5.99. What have they proven to be able to charge that high of a price? Then again, if you have been to Haven or Provision’s, you know high prices are their style.

Anyway, it’s not all that bad. Clear AF, with a lil hoppy bite. $12 a four pack, sure. But $5.99 a single? Lolz.

Around the corner you have HollingsHead Deli. Also pricey. Orange. Haven’t been in years.
