West Florida treats

    A friend offered to bring beer from the Tampa area back to the frigid midwest. What brews would make a good sampling? I'm looking for best-in-class of various styles, not the harder to find treats. Sharing with friends who have a wide range of tastes so all suggestions welcome, especially seasonals.

    Was recently in Tampa/St. Pete and would recommend the following:
    Cigar City is worth a trip and buy whatever's in their cooler (especially Jai Alai, Tocobaga Red). I think they recently released Cubano Espresso Brown Ale and may still have 110K+OT B7 double chocolate stout. They should go to Cycle in St. Pete and take home whatever Crowlers they can (especially Rickshaw DIPA, Crank IPA, Cream and Sugar Please Porter). At the stores, you may find some stuff from Swamp Head which is based in Gainesville and some other area locals. I think there is a "visiting Tampa, look here first" thread you should also check out.     Green Bench is a few blocks from Cycle and I'd recommend them as well. What they'll have available in bottles depends.
