All - I'm flying into BWI Saturday afternoon and driving up to the Concordville area for a wedding at night. During the day I have a few hours to kill, looking for a beer bar or brewery somewhere from Wilmington to Concordville. Any recommendations?
Shrug. According to google maps, Concordville is less than 15 minutes from Media. Places I would recommend there include Quotations, Pinnochio's and Iron Hill Brewery/pub. All three places are listed in BA and have websites, so you can read up on them and decide which place sounds the most appealing.
McKenzie Brewhouse - they have taken gold for their Saison Ventour - food is very good and you can get a sampler. Their website is done or I would have given you the link.
If you want to drive a bit (20-25 minutes), you can visit the recently opened Tired Hands Brewing Co. in Ardmore.
I agree, Media rocks and all three are within two blocks of one another. If your into Russian Imperial Stout, pick up a bottle at Iron Hill, brewer Bob is famous for this beer. Pinnochio's is a must hit if your in Media for the draft beer and bottle shop behind restaurant. John
McKenzie's is much closer to Concordville than Media and Saison Vaotour is quite tasty. I grew up in that area, but live closer to Media and am a regular at Iron Hill. So, either way you can't lose.
