I recently moved back to Midland, TX for work and have really struggled to find any other craft beer lovers here. I had a great group of guys in the Tulsa area previously and am looking to find a good tasting group in West Texas. I have about 870 bottles in my cellar and would love to find some good dudes to share with. Hit me up if you are in the area. Cheers!
Don't know how close midland is to El Paso. Going to a music festival this weekend though would be game to meet for some brews if possible. Cheers

Cool. Maybe we can eventually get a good group of guys together and pick a central location like Lubbock to do a big bottle share. Have any of you guys had any luck with bottle shops in West Texas? I go to Austin and Dallas every now and then and buy stuff so I know the Texas distro is pretty good. It just seems like nothing special makes it to the Western part of the state...... At least not Midland. All I ever see out here are basic Deschutes and Lagunitas pale ales.
If I am ever in West Texas, it is in Lubbock. Spec's there has a decent selection, but nothing like Austin or DFW. They do get some "rare" bottles, but nothing crazy.
The struggle is real in WTX. I've been looking to put a good share group together as well. I'm in Big Spring and have a couple hundred bottles in my cellar. Hit me up maybe we can put something together. If you are looking for a place to grab bottles I'd recommend The Cellar in Odessa. Definetly not like the shops in DFW/Austin but by far the best selection I've found out here.
Awesome. This is all good stuff. Doesn't sound like there are a lot of us, but there are some. I am going to create a private FB group for us and hopefully we can expand and start to set up some tastings soon. It'd be really cool to get a little beer community going out here, there doesn't seem to a lot of culture to be had in any form. I picture a WTX bottle share as a dusty field where everyone just shows up with a sixer of lone star.
