Westbrook 2016 Releases

Any word on the other July releases?
Pretty sure I saw margarita gose and a few others on the schedule.

 

I asked a bartender two weeks back and he said margarita gose was still in barrels. Could have changed since then, but he said it would be several weeks before it made an appearance.

 

Mojito Gose is being released today in 22oz bottles. 4pp/$12 each per FB page.

Does anyone know where I can find the bottle menu for the brewery? I'm heading down there Saturday for the first time and wanna check the prices and see what is available for on-site consumption.

Had a Key Lime Gose last night, it was good. But I still prefer the original.

I found Key Lime Pie Gose to be more of a traditional gose than the base, and I was glad. I've had people hating on it though because it's not sour and salty enough, which is irritating. If I had a $1 for everyone I've explained to that Westbrook took the gose and Americanized the shit out of it, and that goses by design aren't super sour and taste of ocean water, I'd be a millionaire. Not saying it's bad, but the base beer is so far out of the realm of goses it's hard to call it such. These people taste a Ritterguts or Leipziger and say it's crap, but those are the most accurate versions of the style, they just know Westbrook because it was the first big revival in the market and think that any gose should be as aggressive or more so.

 

Have to agree. I definitely like the key lime version more than the original and it's mainly because it's a little more balanced and not quite so extremely sour and salty.

 

Maybe I am alone in this, but I actually don't care for Key Lime Pie that much. It tastes like sucking on a salted lime with no 'pie' elements to speak of. I was expecting a hint of graham cracker goodness, not something that would be much taster in a margarita.

 

According to the WB website, another round of Whiskey Sour Weisse Weisse Baby is out. $10 per 22oz bottle.

 

I was there today. They had a keg tapped but were not selling it in bottles. The only bottles they had available were Mojito Gose and the bartender did not say anything about an upcoming bottle release for the Whiskey Sour to those who were seeking to get crowler fills.

 

Quick update to my post yesterday, the Whiskey Sour Weisse Weisse Baby bottles are now available.

 

Second batch of KLP is still available at the brewery.

Bottles of Mojito Gose are done.

Thanks I'm trying to get my lady to drive up there again since they sold out the last time. We live about an hour away so its not something she can just do on a whim.

 

Anyone here know where i could find some Key Lime Pie Gose in the Hilton Head area? I have a buddy there and was hoping he could pick some up for me.
