Everyone get your jabs in today - I'm sure this thread will be shut down before the day's up.

I heard it's going to be a stout with raspberries and something else but I can't remember (possibly vanilla?)

I will be throwing down at the anniversary party once again my friends, don't you worry. It's kind of a tradition

Any more info on what this will be? It usually ships by mid-December and I have heard nothing about it

Westbrook just posted on FB....Imperial Chocolate Rasberry Stout. Will be on tap in the tasting room tomorrow and in bottles as soon as the labels come in.

Hardywood's barrel aged imperial raspberry stout was fantastic. I'm excited for this

I'm sure it will be fine, but I do remember the chocolate raspberry Mexican Cake being my least favorite at the BAMC release party.

Fruited stouts are definitely not for everyone. Tart fruits tend to not mesh well with the traditional flavors of stouts as well as other adjuncts like vanilla or coconut

I agree. I must say that the Cherry Cake that they have had on tap before was heavenly.

Chocolate Rasperry stouts typically aren't my favorite, but I will definitely give this one a shot. WB hasn't really disappointed in any of their Anniversary beers to date.

Raspberry cake was my least favorite variant that they made. I also think raspberry stouts are usually pretty average but Westbrook never disappoints so I'm expecting this beer to be good.

I enjoyed the BA Raspberry Vanilla even more. Its like the vanilla mellows out the tartness of the raspberry, while still allowing for the subtle fruit flavor.

Do the anniversary ones usually get distro'd outside of SC?

I post my obligatory "send me some to Hawai'i" post. Disappointed in my fellow South Carolinians with these releases. No love.
