Shipping is cheap to HI. If you use USPS ground, which takes like six weeks.

I was there a few days ago and didn't see any but ask they might have them in the back. If not they MIGHT have it on tap to try. I know it's not the same as taking some home.

The red wine variant is ridiculous. Probably my favorite beer Ive had in 2014. The bourbon is good too, but that red wine.....

FWIW- they had at least a couple of boxes left, I was able to pick up a couple. I thought the Bourbon one was really good (they had it on tap), but everyone said they liked the wine variant better.

This was just posted on CBX's Instagram - so I guess distro did actually happen.

I just heard the other day that a very limited amount hit distro. Not sure about every place that got it, but Community Tap posted a photo as well and Columbia should be getting some next week.

Split a bottle of the (the label said) wine Sat. night. First thing it did smell bourbony, and aside from an initial wine like twinge on the palate at the beginning of each sip, I would;ve guessed a mild whiskey aged beer. Anyone else get this? Maybe length of time on wood? Mislabeled? My tongue was actually eaten by the parasite now living in my mouth?

There is no confusing the two. The wine barrel version is quite tart. The bourbon is fairly sweet.

That bourbon was really good. I can't wait to try the wine.

I tried both on release day and thought the bourbon was pretty hot. Had the bourbon again this past weekend and didnt find it to be nearly as hot. Is it normal for a super fresh bba bottle to have a much heavier bourbon flavor than the same bottle just a couple weeks later? I know over months and years they will mellow, but i feel like it was a different beer just a couple weeks later. Either way, the bottle i had this weekend was amazing. The wine can can however, was amazing from day 1.........damn that beer is good!!!
