Westbrook Gose Availability

Charlotte and all of NC just started getting distro with Westbrook and we have not received any Gose yet. I live near the border of North and South Carolina and went to Stateline yesterday to find some. They have not received a shipment for this year yet. I would stop in Columbia if I were you.....Try Greens on Fernandina Road and the nearby Total Wine.

 

Ok, cool. Thanks for the info. Are those places near I-95? Traveling with my wife and 5 month old daughter so I doubt I'll be able to venture very far.

 

Looks like Green's is closed today, so TW may be my best bet.

 

That is because we picked up Gose on Thursday and Rock hill/Stateline gets delivered on Thursday so they will see it next week.

Total wine - Columbia will get theirs Tuesday.

 

Snagged some Gose from Beer Exchange on Sunday. Drinking one back in Ohio now. So good.

Talked to my Advintage rep today, they dont have it.

 

Definitely the best batch made in my opinion, very concentrated. The last batch in October kind of sucked

 

Can't speak for all of NC, but the Triangle definitely got some gose in the first wave or two of Westbrook cans that we got a little while back. But yeah we haven't gotten any of this year's yet.

 

If you're looking for some fresh Gose, try charlestonbeerexchange.com. I was in there earlier today and they had a stack of it. They do ship all over and they are great folks!

 

Fresh Gose dropped this week. I picked up a case canned 3/25 in North Myrtle. Stopped by Westbrook and they have tons of fresh Gose in their cooler

 

A Raleigh bottle shop just tweeted they're getting some next week.

Tempting. Once I get confirmation that is has hit Winston-Salem and I can buy 2 cases I will be doing a day trip there.

 

Small amount hit Raleigh again today at a few shops. I was lucky enough to find some that lasted into the night. Recommend checking Bottle Mixx in the morning.

This seems like the best place for this. I am going to Orlando for a vacation in a few weeks and I am flying down, but my brother is driving. I want him to get about a case of WB Gose for the week of vacation and some leftover for me when I get home. He will be taking 95 on his way down. I want to give him a place that is not far off the highway where he can reliably grab a case. I dont mind calling them the day before or so and checking or even pre paying. I just dont want to send him on a chase for it.

Any help would be appreciated BA.

 

Honestly 95 in SC is barren as hell. I would guess somewhere in Florence would be your best bet in the state... Brunswick and Savannah GA might be better choices, I would check BA Ratings for top stores in each town and give them a call to see if they normally have it available.

 

Micky Finn's in Florence, SC will have it. It'd be a 10-15 minute detour round trip from 95, but Florence would be one of the few places on 95 (until you hit GA) with a number of lunch or dinner options, so he might could justify the stop.
