I know the cans say to drink fresh but I've got one of the bottles from early last year down in the cellar. Has anyone experimented with aging these?

Yes. I found at 6 months the salt was nearly nonexistent and the sour was much more strongly pronounced. A different, but still excellent beer.

Sorry to threadjack, but @Padraig seems like a guy worth asking this of:
I've had imported German gose that had a much more pronounced saltiness than (fresh) Westbrook. What would you expect from adding a little sea salt to a Westbrook? I'm thinking either it becomes more like the German import I had, or it somehow messes it up, thoughts?

I bought 3 sixers from the brewery in may(I think can date was 5/12/14. I drank six fresh within first week- nice balance of salt and sour outstanding beer. Drank 6 more on the beach in OBX week of 6/13/14~ significantly less salty(almost non-existent more chardonnay like still wonderful! . I have 6 more to either trade or mow my lawn with(probably mow the lawn with!) Seems like salt dissolves and dissapears hence the drink within 3 months of can date on the can. Gose Gone Wild was even better I had the pleasure of trying it 3 times this year. I guess that should be consumed or traded very shortly as well. I am assuming this is common with all beers of this style. I just got into them as well and am on the hunt for some great goses to try.

I'd be happy to take those off your hands in an IP trade as long as you aren't looking for something you can't get yourself...

edit: also assuming you're in the Philly area.

Yep, it's fine. I've been enjoying 12 from last September for the past couple of weeks. Salt has faded the most, but there's still a nice touch of sour. They make great Radlers too.
