how easy is this product to get in bulk in South Carolina? Is it limited? Are there bottle shops that consistently carry a bunch? Any insight you can offer? Thanks for reading
I have seen it on the shelf consistently for months now. I live in Charlotte and cross the border to Indian Land, South Carolina for it. There were limits earlier this year but it seems that you can buy what you want now.
There are good quantities in the Myrtle Beach area. It seems to be more of a hot weather beer around here.
Plenty around right now, but it is not being made presently, not until May '15. I think production just stopped in October.
At least in my area it was kind of hit or miss the first month or so, but since then it's been consistently available the past few months. Definitely no limits at the store I shop at, so you should easily be able to get as much as you want, whether it's via trade or if you're going to be visiting. Like @Circleo12 said though, its season just ended, so they won't be making anymore for the next 6 months. Don't hesitate too long, because it will start slowly disappearing off shelves.
Yeah it is not being made, so anything you will find on shelves is leftover from a month or two. It is completely gone in the Birmingham market and has been for a month. I imagine by end of year it will be gone just about everywhere
If you see it, buy! It drinks extremely well, even on into the spring. Won't see it for a while, and once it starts pumping back out, it's bought up fast because everyones been feigning for it.
Thanks, must have just been wishful thinking on my part (or I'm thinking of One Claw, when it went year-round).
Please, please set a few goses back each year. I think they get much better with age. I dont know how the cans will hold up but the bottles from the first 2 years have aged incredibly. I can easily say they have been the most fun, dramatically changing beers to age
If they could make it year round they would. One of the things about making the gose is it has to be hot weather. It won't work as well if the brewery is cold, the bacteria that sours the beer works best in warm environments. That is why production stops in the winter.
fridge was packed at westbrook. got all i needed while passing through. also the bars/restaurants in the charleston area all offered it. thanks for the insight everyone
