I don't believe Zehner's pre-brewvival tasting, which is posted on BA every year, contains only an elite group. If you hang out at any given beer bar around town enough consecutive days, you end up seeing cool stuff get opened.

You're spot on - the BASC release should pretty much be the blueprint. I do feel like the problem here is with Westbrook.

Driving around Charlotte on I-77 I just past a party bus with a New York tag headed south that had "Westbrook Bound BAMC" chalk painted on the back windshield! WTF?!?!

Absolutely. I'm a giant asshole but people still drink their beers with me. I'm not elite, I just meet people who like good beer, I like good beer. We all trade and bring our trades to share with each other. Nothing elite about that, it's called making friends

Not too surprising. I bet they will be lined up at midnight also. People are going to be coming from all over for this with the advance notice. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they have more than 2000 people show up.

On a side note. Does anyone else think that the combination of tequila, chocolate, and peppers will be absolutely awful? That said. I would like to try it.

Sounds terrible right? Send me the tequilas so you don't have to deal with that nonsense.

Agreed BASC was my first release I have attended and it went smoothly , The cops were there the whole time and as they walk down the line they get to know the faces of who is in line someone actually tried to skip the line behind me and the female cop was right on it . Also the brewery knows people will show up "earlier than the stated time" If they are ready for the line at 12 say people cannot show up earlier than 2:00 am knowing people will show up at 12 . Having no camping and saying show up at 6 is just a bad idea that will turn ugly you have 400 + people rushing to get in line at once ala the rushing of the bulls , like I say in the Corps this release will be a "gaggle fuck "

Would it be ignorant for me to believe only 425 individuals will be showing up for this event, based on the response? or a 1000?

60% chance all night long... according to my source.

I thought a bit more than 425 showed up last year, but I could be wrong. At least it looked like several tons of people.

I think it's gonna be a cluster - but I seriously doubt anyone will die.

I'm bummed that I can't be there tomorrow for the 'show', but I hope it goes well for everyone. On a lighter note, with all of these new BAMC's coming out tomorrow, does this increase the value of my remaining bottles from last year?!?

I'm sorry - but please explain to me why a "local" should receive any sort of preferential treatment at a brewery release. I'm a loyal customer too, I just don't live in the area; if I did, I'd be at the brewery weekly as well. Additionally, I've traded Westbrook beer all over the USA. I've hyped them up in forums, non stop. Nobody should receive preferential treatment in a release like this.

425 bottles? That's it? Way to much hype for them to try and pull this release of successfully. I know brewerys love hyping their releases but they might want to take a page from Toppling Goliaths release of KBBS. Everybody try to be safe.

Locals live way closer to the brewery and therefore visit the brewery way more often. Part of the problem and the price!

Not 425 bottles. 425 wrist bands guaranteeing you the chance to purchase up to 8 bottles. 4 DB, 2 Tequila, 2 Bourbon.
