Agree with most points I've see, so basically you might have 600 people milling around aimlessly and then at 600 sprint to a line being formed. Yea, how could this possibly go wrong.

This is a good point.... Westbrook can't just say, "make up your own rules but stay off our property until 6 am." That's negligent on their part. They're pros, they know folks will be there early and stay all night. It's inviting problems.

Hey man - you're providing good information and I have no beef with you. But the brewery could incur liabilities by not fully organizing this event. Someone gets hurt standing in a busy road waiting to get in to Westbrook... that's on Westbrook. Keeping folks off your property is one thing, forcing them to fight for a spot in line on someone else's property... that makes even less sense. They face liabilities either way, at least the could enforce their rules on their own property.

They know the potential for a real shit show here, they gave enough notice guys can drive from wherever and participate. Guys driving 8 hours might tend to be a little aggressive in making sure they "score". Should have released with a few hours notice and be done with it, or get them out to retail outlets doing the same thing. I'm off I could easily do the 5 hour or so drive, but there's no way in hell I'd support this, there are better ways. Huna was a disgrace , this beer is 10x more desirable, could be ugly. Hope not I really do, but I have my doubts.

Who ever thought of the limit, bravo. I mean several hundred go home with, several hundred more without.
Out of everything this makes the least sense to me

Limits are liberal, so reducing them would make sense to serve more people.

Well you can't be in a line before 6, so I wouldn't expect a mess until after the bar closes. So say starting around 2 and after exactly where will the mob be? Just wandering around in an industrial park, tailgating having some beers?

Last I heard, my buddy who is that brewery told me the bartenders said "If you don't get here until 6 AM, you might as well turn around"

All I'm getting from this is nobody knows......

It just seems like there are conflicting reports coming out the brewery. Nobody knows and everything is speculation. I'll be there in a few hours so I will let yall know

I'm glad I stayed home for Zwanze Day! Maybe I'll be lucky enough to try the variants at a tasting and avoid the lunacy.

The people that get there early and survive the "blood bath" deserve the current limit.

Go to Belgium, drink from the source, absorb some culture, you'll be an enriched and better person for it.

Not for suckers like me...

Hoping Zwanze day eases the pain.

Try to play nice boys and girls. We all know there will be disappointments for some and rage for others.

At the end of the day, it's still just beer. If it's so important that you're viscerally angry or physically violent, you may ned to check your priorities.

If it gets out of hand here, we'll respond.

And since I'm already one of the absolutely wurst people ever, do you really want that? :grimacing:

We'll if you can't form a line what good is being there early? You can push and bully your way up front in the stampede. Police or no police it will be a line rush I suppose.
