I really think they should bottle the Mexican Coffee Cake

Really enjoyed this weekend, and thought Westbrook did an overall great job handling everything..
Came from Tampa, did the round trip in a day, stopped at Redlight in Orlando on the way back for Zwanze, then over to CCB where I opened a set and was wowed with @TampaRainman... Good times!

I don't care what everyone else thinks, I think this is cool. For the longest time (my whole life actually), I lived in Charleston w/ a crappy ass beer scene. Now, the Charleston breweries have folks traveling from hours away, just to get some of their beer. As you may know, I just moved out to Hawai'i, and the beer scene is ok, but local breweries leave much to be desired. Maybe Hawai'i will see an improvement now that I'm here... or it won't, so I can just keep bitching about it.

Pritchard's Chocolate in 2015....that one, I'll be making the drive down for, for sure!

And I second the bottling of Coffee Cake....AND of Cherry MC!

So are Pritchard's Chocolate and Cognac getting 2 years of barrel aging, and being released around this time next year, or do they plan to release them earlier in 2015?

    There's no "t" in Prichard's.

Well those just went into barrels a month or two ago so it would be a year just like this time. Unless they skip next year which is highly doubtful. Right around last years release was when this recent release went in barrels.

Not to hijack this thread, but I'm coming to visit Charleston in mid October and planning on hitting up Westbrook and some other places. Anybody want to set up an IP trade or meet up for a beer? (Not necessarily for anything from Westbrook) I'll be bringing down some Hill Farmstead stuff! Cheers!

Just a heads up everyone that next year will be absolutely terrible. Please, for your own safety stay away. I'd like to get bottles again next year.

They could not even get 425 people to pay $30

Yeah, but they got like 400, which is really close. That's what you want to do as a business. Everyone who showed up on time got a full allotment, and they didn't have to deal with a ton of leftover merchandise. Also, I think the potential for storms made the difference of them hitting 425, not the cost.

Looks like there are leftovers at Westbrook. BAIBB and other various cakes on tap. I'm guessing now growler fills on these items?

Save some for me! Might be heading to Charleston this weekend... Any recommendations on places to stay for an out-of-towner?

I was actually in Charleston this weekend. I did not go to the release as I was not prepared but I was at the brewery Friday when I heard the BA was being released. I went later Saturday afternoon and they were serving up three different variations of the regular. Which is what I went for to learn about the hype. As much as I love Ten Fidy the Mexican Cake has probably topped it as the best stout i've had.

Anybody here any rumors about the release date for this year? What should I expect at the brewery the day of? Any specials on tap?
