Thank you. I live in Georgia, so I'm not a Westbrook regular. But thank you.

Was in MB last weekend had some Westbrook IPA , really surprised by how good this beer was. Nice it's non filtered too. It was a very different ipa, I don't believe it was the hops that made this one perhaps the malt bill that made this one different . Well worth the price.

Went thru othe chili kinda brews and and MC was the best I've had yet. If I do grab a bottle or do it's not for trade it's for a bottle share much better than Bomb.

I heard from our local distributor that we're going to get the regular MC here sometime soon. Cannot wait to have it again.

Damn, that's a head scratcher for sure, but good for you the Westbrook Ipa I had this weekend was really pretty good. Bought some Goses too for xtras , don't like seawater flavored beer.

I'll have to retry their IPA...Had it a few months back and wasn't a big fan.

Fresh might be an issue , don't think that particular style would be all that great with much age on it. I'm assuming what I had was super fresh, but it a nice unfiltered ipa, I think the malt bill is what makes it unique not some crazy hop list.

Westbrook distributes to NY because of evil twin & 12 percent if I remember correctly.

True, but we also get 12 percent imports in NC including everything Evil Twin and we do not get Westbrook. The one exception was that terrible Westbrook Table Beer which apparently isn't a table beer at all. It's a 15$ czech pils...

I thought it was a pretty decent Pils, but I am a bit biased. The high cost was due to it being sold along the Evil Twin system.

It was tasty for the style. It was terribly over priced.. I don't see any excuse for a pilsner that's made in Mt. Pleasant, SC to be sold for 15$ in Charlotte, NC. Distro, brewing time, ingredients, labeling, packaging etc. You can not justify that cost.

Now back to the matter at hand.

    ISO MEXI CAKES!!1111

Your point could be made about all Evil Twin beer. I think the main issue there seems to be with all the different entities wanting their piece of the pie. The brewery has to make money, the brewer/brand owner, wants to make money, the distributor needs their cut, then the store or bar require another nice markup.

Don't forget the importer, since everything they make (even in SC) goes through 12% before the ditributor. I always think of it as a 5 tier system.

Mute point still. How can Even More Jesus and this pilsner be brewed and bottled at the same place, sent through all the same channels of distro, and come out at the same price? All the while, it is a Westbrook beer not an Evil Twin beer. I'm still amazed that it even came to NC. Nothing about it makes sense.

It was technically an Evil Twin and Westbrook collab, so think of it just like an Evil Twin beer. Also, we didn't pay $15 for it down here, so I am not sure why it is the same as Jesus for your market.

My understanding is that they aren't actually ET or WB beers. They basically are a private label beers made for a store in NYC called the Beer Table, and ET and WB each did a different edition of it.

Edit: maybe calling it a collaboration between the store and the breweries is a better way to describe it. Either way kinda confusing.

And it was not sold in SC at all, but Evil Twin Table beer was, go figure. Westbrook gets distro'd in Europe too. Some Scandinavian countries and UK.
