I will be in Charleston for 2 days in July for work. Is there any chance I will be able to score some Westbrook Mexican Cake either at the brewery, or elsewhere? I will be staying at the Charleston Harbor and Marina in Mt. Pleasant, which seems very close to both Westbrook and Bottles.

    Any advice would be awesome.

There's not any on shelves around town anymore That I am aware of. However, if you're coming from Missouri and have some interesting things from that part of the country that you could bring with you, I think you could probably Set up an in person trade for a couple bottles pretty easy. More than likely someone could meet you at one of our breweries while you're here.

I will be in MB as well in late July / first week in August. If there is anything from Pa that I could bring down to trade for some MC I would be interested as well. But I don't want to, and won't do it, at the expense of the OP. He asked first and I don't want to do that sort of thing.

So if anyone can help me out after him I would be grateful..............and hopefully hook you up with some good beer as well!

Feel free to trade away! I figured there wasn't any left on shelves, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. I'm not certain I can bring much to trade/am willing to part with my BA Abraxas hahaha. So I probably will just look for out of distro shelf turds.

    Thanks all!

What about just regular Abraxas/Sump? I've seen that go 1:1 numerous times with Mexican Cake (and even 1+ to make up for the shortfall $4$-wise on the MC side)

However, should you be inclined to part with your B2 BA Abraxas, I'm certain we could find something in my stash that would leave you satisfied. ;-)

I don't think the OP wants to trade. He told me that he has nothing to offer.

Keep an eye out for taps though. My guess is Edmunds Oast will have it on draft and maybe bottle and it'll show up a few other places for growler fills.

Edmunds Oast has bottles of last years BA Mexican Cake variants for $98.

You laugh, but someone will pay it. Earlier this year, I had 2 unsolicited offers of $250 and $350 for my set of BA Cakes. I turned them down! :grimacing:

Thats actually not that bad, considering the cost of the other bottles on their bottle list. I think Bo and Luke was in the $50s and DB Jesus was I think $65. I will say that IMO if they are still available at Edmunds Oast at the time of the next BA Cake release (with all the out of town beer geeks being in the city), there will be a line of people wiling to pay that to try last years variants.

Didn't want to start a new thread. Just saw that Westbrook is distributed to Georgia, on a beer distribution map. Is it sold in stores? Any specific regions? My GF is visiting her friend in Savannah next month, and I was hoping she could pick me up some of their IPA. Thanks!

    That shouldn't be a problem.

The BA Mexican Cake release is supposed to be sometime in July. They're in the process of bottling now (see their fb site), so I'm hoping it will be early July as I'll be there as well.

Where does it say anything about bottling BA MC on their FB page? Or anything else about BA MC
