Yikes that's a lot of cheddar.

For 4 variants that aren't necessarily that unique.
Don't get me wrong, I love BA Cakes but I don't want a case of 12 that are no change from a lot of Westbrooks other offerings. Especially at $30++ each.

I wouldn’t mind an option for smaller allotments in the future. The variants sound great this year but there’s no way I would have bought a case with all the other beers being released on Black Friday.

I can agree with that, it seemed cheaper last year because it was 11 bottles instead of 12, and a case of while really good beer, at $34 bucks a bottle is a heavy price tag during the holiday season.

I think my favorite part of the BA releases is usually having them on tap along with all the other goodies they pull out. Pretty stoked to go and then to hit up some Rodney Scott's on the way back.

wish breweries would stop ruining ba stouts with maple syrup.

Exactly, with 3 of each variant this year, they could have just offered the option of selecting from 1 to 3 single bottle allotments. I'd certainly be interested in 1 of each, but do not want to deal with having to find takers for the rest of a $410 case.

Thankfully, consumers appear to be speaking with their wallets and hopefully WB will be forced to offer smaller allotments for future releases. Almost going on 24 hours now and still not sold out. Would love to know how many allocations remain...

Knowing WB though, whatever remains they will just cellar and slowly ramp up the prices during the year for individual bottles. If nothing else, they know how to make money on those releases and have plenty of space.

Until they sell them for $15/bottle in a few years.

Have they done that for any BA bottles? I've only seen them go for $40 and above.

They sold Pappy Cake for $15 as part of a package last week. Had to buy 4 other 2014-2015 BA cakes at $15 each to get the Pappy though.

So guessing people seeing 5 bottles for $75 (with one being Pappy) didn’t make them eager to drop $400+ for 12 bottles.

They have been selling off the cellar this past week. BA Cakes and other BA bottles for $15 each and less (including Pappy Cake if you bought 4 others).

The Pappy sets sold out in about 45 minutes, so I guess there’s still a little bit of a demand for BA Cakes, even if it’s just amongst locals

Not saying the demand isn’t there, just saying demand is a lot higher for lower priced bottles, lower quantity, and it also can’t hurt to include the word “pappy” in there as well.

Is the watermelon margarita sour available in cans or crowlers? Trying to come up with a nice Xmas gift for wife and if it is available, going to try to work out a trade.

It was on the Crowler menu when I was there earlier today.

Digging 9th Anniversary. Strong peanut butter on the nose. Can't wait to see what this does in bourbon barrels.
