I do not think that is true. I'm almost 100% certain it is not. Cap n Skoons used a lager yeast if I remember correctly, which is what made it unique. I also don't think Orange Bliss is the same base beer as Mexican Cake. I think all 3 are different base IS's, but I could be wrong.

Not 100% sure either. Let's see what @Rymar9 knows.

None of them were the same, obviously close, but none exactly the same, and yes Cap'n Skoon was a lager. It was a play on a baltic porter, hence the name "ballistic"

Anyone up for trading a bottle of this when its released? I showed this to my wife and she really wants to try it as Almond Joys are one of her favorite candy bars.

If it's anything like the last few years anniv. releases, there won't be a limit, as they make a lot.

For the most part. The only limit that will definitely apply will be the maximum sale of 288 ounces at the brewery, according to state law (case plus 1). You should easily find plenty around town when it is released.

Rymar, was referring to the Facebook posts from last Friday. Must have been adding all that stuff only to secondary and for a very short time.

I haven't heard anything about Orange Bliss going into barrels. Not sure how that one would have turned out had that been the case.

Yes, all those bags of coconut, vanilla beans and almonds went into the brite tank.

We did brew 2 batches, and yes some did go into bourbon barrels.

I could have sworn I saw something about BA Orange Bliss. @Rymar9 @mikeincharleston ?

HF did BA Daybreak, AND FFF did BA Alpha Klaus w/orange peel to name a few BA Orange beers.

I heard rumors of Orange Bliss in Grand Marnier barrels but I think they were just rumors cause I never heard anything else.

They did make a Grand Ma beer, or they are going to. It isn't orange bliss thought.
