Like most of us, I am not traveling much these days, but as an essential worker, I will be driving through Western MA into Southern VT for site inspections. Looking for suggestions on any worthwhile stops for beer-to-go (whether brewery or beer store) along I-91 between Springfield & Brattleboro and along Rt 9 between Brattleboro & Bennington. Don't have a lot of time, but I can wonder a little off that beaten path.
    Cheers & Thanks in Advance!

Old article but a lot of the ones that were planning to open ended up doing it.

    Personal standouts from the list...

Great Awakening - Just opened last month with beer to go only. Preorder is live now for pickup Fri and Saturday. I have had five different beers from them already and all were great.

Rustic - Super small and were brewery only growlers but during shutdown started canning and selling out of local packys and not the brewery. They were planning to open brewery sales back up soon but I am not sure if the did yet. Check their social. Great beer I have had a bunch from them.

Vanished Valley - Very solid. They did open the restaurant and I haven't been but have heard good things. I have had a bunch of their beer over the last couple of years and it is really good.

Brick and Feather - I have only had a couple of beers but they were great. I have heard only good things about their other offerings.

Brick & Feather and Brattleboro Co-op are your answers. But if you have a spare few hours, River Roost and lunch/dinner at Big Fatty’s are worth it.

Brick and Feather, New City, Fort Hill. The Big Y supermarket in Greenfield Mass has a large selection of Fort Hill and its usually on sale. The Whetstone in Brattleboro has good food and very good beer. Beer Naked is between Bennington and Brattleboro and they have decent beer on tap (the guest beers) and their food is good. The view is incredible. Check ahead for hours and the circumstances of all these places.

As long as you're in downtown Brattleboro, and if you've got a taste for the sour stuff, Hermit Thrush is about a five-or-ten minute walk from Whetstone Station. Also, the Food Coop is catty-corner across the street from Whetstone and has a better-than-average selection of shelf beer.
