Hot news from Westmalle: Westmalle Extra (4.8 ABV) is a brew dating back from 1836 and from now on it will be (produced and) sold more widely. Before, Westmalle Extra was only sold at the gate/shop of the Westmalle Trappist Abbey. Now, it will be distributed in retail stores and beer bars in order to support the difficult beer industry in Belgium due to covid-19. However, little brother Westmalle Extra will not jeopardize his big brothers, Westmalle Dubbel and Westmalle Tripel.
