    Greetings all!

My wife and I will be in London for three days this week and staying right by Westminster Bridge. I am looking for recommendations for great local pubs (UK craft & real ale) and breweries within striking distance. Definitely not averse to cabbing/tubing around a bit, but with just 3 days and other items on the agenda, it's not likely we'll go too far from basecamp. Any tips to offer would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Are you staying at Westminster Park Place?

Very funny. That's where we stayed. You will be right near The Hop Locker for sure. If you walk down the river on the same side towards the Tower Bridge, you will walk passed a bunch of cool places including some pubs. The Hop Locker is also up that way right by the London Eye, which will be like a 5 minute walk for you.

Some favorites are over in Southwark around Bouroughs Market. Market Porter, The Rake, oh and the George Inn for a little history. Edit that is not too far from your hotel.

This ^^ is the same link I usually send out. I would only add that the Kernel only does bottle take-away now and no tap room on Saturday.

The Waterloo Tap is pretty much on your doorstep and is fairly great.

And the Harp in Covent Garden is a fairly essential visit if you're doing stuff in the centre.
