Weston, FL in December

    Hey all. Did a search but most of the stuff I found mentioning Weston (which was nothing) was 6 or 7 years ago. Anything good in that area since then or is it basically drive over to Fort Lauderdale? I saw Funky Buddha, etc mentioned there but was hoping to stay closer to the Bonaventure Resort since that's where I will be.

    While I'm on the topic after there I'm heading to Miami for a night, then on to the Keys. Not sure I'll have time to hit anywhere but if there's something amazing in the area I'd love to have it on my list and see if I could hit it. In Miami I'll be around the Fillmore Miami Beach. The Keys I wasn't planning on going past Marathon. Any info/help/suggestions is appreciated as always!

    Not that I am aware of. Head East. Ft Lauderdale area has Funky Buddha, 3 Sons, Invasive Species. Wynwood isn't that far from Miami Beach area, you could check out the breweries in Wynwood, J Wakefield largely considered the best among them.

    Agree with @Jarnet87 . Grab an Uber/Lyft and head 20-30 minutes East to Ft Lauderdale/Oakland Park/Dania Beach area for the above mentioned breweries.

    I'd add going down to Doral (also about 30 minutes without traffic) from Weston and hit Tripping Animals and MIA. They both have good food, guest taps and are about 1 mile apart from each other.

    If you want something closer, you could go to Riverside Market in Plantation or Brass Tap in Pembroke Pines, each about 15 minutes from Weston

    Thanks for the info! I was completely unaware about J Wakefield.

    I'll add Doral and the places close to Weston on my list.

    I second Doral area if you have time. Tripping Animals is my favorite spot in the area, MIA Beer Co. is super close. You also have Beat Culture, Biscayne Bay, and The Tank. If you are looking for bottle shops I believe there is a Total Wine on the beach. Box Elder and Union Beer Store are tap rooms/bottle shops close to J Wakefield. Box is less than a mile, Union further.

    If you make it to Plantation the Mack House is a good spot as well...
