My college buddy just came back From Europe and handed me a Westvleteren 8 (he is literally the best person in the world for doing this). While doing some research online however, I have been getting mixed reviews on whether or not I should age my bottle. I do not have the greatest storing place but the temperatures never really change. I do make my own wine with my father (at least 80 gallons a year) so I know how to store wine/beer which isn't the case. Some people say that You should age it for a year or three to get the full taste while others say it looses its sharpness if you try and store it. What should I do? Thanks for any and all help guys.

It's fantastic fresh. It turns toasty after 1.5-2 years. It tastes like toasted pumpernickel after 3. They can age longer, but not without ideal conditions.

If you've never had it, call up a friend and open it NOW!
