Grab a few more Cantillons while you're at it!

Step one: Buy a large suitcase.
Step two: Go back to that store and turn (a) loon into loon(s).
Step three: Fill bag with loons and come back to the US

Last night here so only able to bring home what I've bought already: Andechs 6 pack, Panil, St. Lam, Gueze, 2006 Sour Nora (gift from bar manager at Open Baladin). Sorry guys.

Unless the Andechs you bought isn't part of the normal rotation (doppel, dunkel, hefe and the hells), I'd considering drinking it and buying something else to bring back. I was just at the Portland International Beerfest this past weekend, and they had all 4 beers on tap at the event. It was only a one ticket purchase (so $1 for a 4 ounce pour), which tends to make me think the beer is not going to be all the expensive or limited once it starts seeing normal distribution here in the states.

Mind you, that's just an assumption, based on my recent experience, but I've never heard of a local distributor bringing something to PIB that wasn't going to be widely available in the local market. There really wouldn't be any point to that.

Your blogspot post seems to confirm that information though....

And oh yes, the doppel is very, very tasty.

Yep, listening to the podcast now. I might even need to stop by Zum Schneider before the bottles arrive the East Coast shores.
