Westy 12 Giftpacks

I want one... very very badly. I also don't care that it will be at least $85. I don't think I am in the minority, unfortunately.

 

Shelton Brothers has been neglecting Michigan for awhile now with limited releases, I won't hold my breath on the gift sets making it here. If they do I'd probably pony up as much as $100 for it. Still a lot cheaper than you'd pay on eBay.

 

With 6 bottles and two awesome glasses I'd be shocked if these sold for under $100 in Chicago....and they'll sell out in a day.

Actually what will probably happen is stores will open the cases, sell the bottles for $20 each and sell the glasses for $10 each.

 

They should, but still ruins the idea of it being a "set"

 

Yeah, . That being said, does anyone even know how many of these are coming to the states? I'd be shocked if it was over 5,000.

 

Just read the whole article, looks like the whole of the US will be getting ~15,000 gift packs out of the 70,000 planned for export.

In other news, who knew that The Abbey of Sint Sixtus had the production capacity to bottle 420,000 (70,000 x 6 per gift pack) Westy 12's? I know they're building another abbey, but I thought they only had capacity to brew enough to sustain the monastery?
