Westy 8... Can it get...?

Def. should be able to get some BCBS for it. BCBCS too. Wouldn't be surprised if you get some Cherry Rye or Bramble depending on your offer.

On what? I know someone who would've def. traded BCBS for Westy 8 when he was looking for it. Hell, if I were looking for Westy 8 I'd trade some BCBS for it. And with the right offer (don't know the price of the Westy's), people could trade BCBCS for it. There are a lot of people who were able to get Westy 12 back in December that I'm sure would also love to have some Westy 8. And while Cherry or Bramble would involve more beer on the OP's part, I think with the right BA, albeit a generous one, a trade could get done.

 

Well my thoughts are Westvleteren 8 is better than all the beers you mentioned so I would drink them

 

Make sure to save one and drink it if you haven't had the Westy 8 before...

I'm sure you can trade it with something for a Cherry Rye or some other beer you're looking for, but the Westy 8 is an amazing beer! Drink it up!

 

BCBS yes, easily, as that is still sitting on shelves all over the place. Coffee, highly doubtful. Cherry/Bramble or anything along those lines - not a chance.

Westy 8 has been for sale on the Struise web shop for about 6 months now, and it doesn't have a ton of trade pull to begin with.

 

link to the struise shop? the one i saw when googling is protected by a password and putting in different combinations of 'struise' in the password field didn't do anything.

 

They had to shut down their original web shop due to issues with hacking, I believe. After they reopened it, only previous customers were allowed to use it.

 

sigh. you'd think they'd want new customers or something.

 

They don't though. I think they really just have their hands full with everything else they have going on, and the web shop is just a bit of fan service for Americans to get access to the beers they don't distribute overseas. They originally had plans for an annual membership kind of thing, but seem to have decided against it. Honestly, if they opened the flood gates to everybody today, I don't think they'd be able to handle the demand, so I understand where they are coming from.

But, there are enough members out there that if you want something, it shouldn't be too difficult to throw up a successful ISO for it.

 

Didn't someone say they response to Facebook messages/emails about creating new accounts for the webstore?

 

He's looking for a Blonde too, which is actually the hardest of the 3 to obtain.
